1. Data controller

Import to Brazil ("we", "us") operates importtobrazil.com from Brazil. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).

2. Data We Collect

Import to Brazil is primarily a static informational website. We do not require user accounts or payment processing.

Data collected automatically by third-party services:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous traffic metrics: pages visited, session duration, device type, country. IP addresses are anonymized. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymous heatmaps, scroll depth, and session recordings for usability improvement. No personal data is collected. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Contact form: If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, work email, company name, country, and message. This data is sent via email (processed by Resend) and stored in our email inbox (hosted by Zoho Mail). We use it solely to respond to your inquiry.

3. Cookies and Consent

On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) and respected on future visits.

  • Essential cookies — consent preference storage. Always active.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Loaded only after consent or on an "essential only" basis where analytics_storage is granted by default (anonymized, no advertising).

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. By default, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization are denied. Analytics storage is granted by default (anonymized, cookieless pings). If you accept all cookies, advertising consent is also granted.

You can revoke consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer, which reopens the consent banner and lets you change your preference.

4. Purpose of Data Processing

We use analytics data to:

  • Understand which tools and content are most useful to visitors
  • Improve site usability and navigation
  • Monitor site performance and fix issues

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6): Legitimate interest for anonymized analytics. Consent for any non-essential cookies.

Contact form data: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — by submitting the form, you consent to processing your data for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@importtobrazil.com.

Under LGPD (Brazilian residents):

  • Opposition to processing based on legitimate interest

6. Data Transfers

Analytics data may be transferred to servers outside the EU/Brazil (Google servers in the US, Microsoft servers globally). Both Google and Microsoft participate in Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for GDPR compliance.

7. Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (GA4 default). Microsoft Clarity session data is retained for 30 days. Contact form submissions are stored in our email system (Zoho Mail) for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry, after which they are deleted. You may request immediate deletion by emailing privacy@importtobrazil.com.

This site contains links to external websites (Brazilian government portals, trade organizations). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The last updated date is shown at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
